RenaultForums member takes on epic trip
Forum member wobbly spoon (real name Andrew Grant) is a fairly new member. By day he’s a special needs teacher at the Haycliffe School in Bradford, and by night he’s busy with 4 children of his own
But the 45-year-old has an unusual ambition. Andrew dreams of making a difference, and of long sunny days under African skies. Not content with just running a mile for Sport Relief, this year Andrew will be taking on the Enduro Africa challenge
Enduro Africa
Enduro Africa is a unique and challenging motorcycle adventure in aid of 3 amazing causes - UNICEF, Sentebale – The Princes’ Fund for Lesotho and the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund. The Enduro Africa route is constantly evolving, and this year motorcycle adventurers from all over the world will tackle 8 days of dusty and demanding riding through some of South Africa's most rugged and isolated terrain – the famous Wild Coast

With support from the world’s biking community, Enduro Africa aims to raise at least £300,000 for South Africa and Lesotho
Donations
To take part in the trip, Andrew will need to raise a minimum of £4,995 in sponsorship money. This will cover trip expenses and a guaranteed donation of at least £1,500 will be split evenly between the charities involved. Anything raised above and beyond the £4,995 entry fee will mean extra profits
In addition to the trip costs, Andrew will be paying for insurance, safety gear, petrol and food out of his own pocket
So far, Andrew has achieved 10% of his goal. If you would like to support Andrew, he will be very grateful for any donations. You can make a donation via PayPal by clicking on the button below:
The ride
I’m going to ask Andrew to start replying to this thread at regular intervals so that we can find out more about his preparations for the trip
