its only secured with 2 bolts. it may be that it has correded a bit and has become stuck. can you get in with a screwdriver or similar to try and lever it?

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that has posted about the tdc sensor cleaning procedure. I have had a clio outside that would turn over very happily but not fire.It has been there a week now! I tried every trick with the immobliser/key fob, and finally bit the bullet and removed the tdc sensor on the side of the street in the dark tonight with a stupid head torch on. It took me about an hour and cost me a couple of quid in wd40 and wet'n'dry sandpaper. I even attracted a small sceptical crowd as I am in south london and someone fixing a car counts as an event worth having a beer and watching. However, to my relief the car fired straight away after reassembling the bits, and I am going for a drive!!
thanks again
