so after much poking around,i decided to take it to the garage.
reason i couldn`t open the one side was that the spring had broke off and the cable between the 2 fixings had stretched.
now i`m 73 pound lighter, but job done and car returned within 5 hours.

Found this site earlier after doing a search for info on the bonnet release.
The cable has snapped on my Laguna and following the instructions I've managed to release the drivers side catch with a coat hanger round the cable - I couldn't push the catch at all.
Unfortunately I have difficulty seeing most of the catch on the passenger side, any suggestions?

Hi oh wise and helpful people!
Anyone know where I can get the little plastic cable clips that fit on the side of the release mechanisms?
The passenger side one is buggered and keeps dropping the cable, so the drivers side bonnet release......doesn't!
Silly me went to the local Stealers and asked (knowing it would be something stupid) but they surpassed even some of the tales I've read on here........they don't sell the plastic bit on it's own, you have to buy the whole release mechanism, a snip at 35!
So....I'm on the hunt for just the plastic pieces.
Any suggestions (as long as they ain't rude! :D ) would be most welcome.
