The dirtiest filter ever!

I just changed my pollen filter on my W reg Lag on Saturday gone. My one looked like it had been rubbed in a rubbish dump and then coated with chimmney soot. In fact there were no grooves visible All that in 8 years because I cannot belive that it has ever been changed. Is this the atmosphere we breathe in!!

It always surprises me how much gunge a pollen filter collects and in many cases many garages never include it in the service.

My laguna hasn't got air con but i notice alot of small leaves come through my vents when i use the air from outside on the fan, could I use a pollen filter?

I took everything apart today to have a look and there isnt a filter there? Would it work? would there be any advantages?
