Hi there and welcome.

Interesting question.

TBH, if you asked a renault dealership, they would most likely say not, but I strongly suspect, if you removed one of the struts and took it to a motor factors, they could provide a part that would have the same fittings and offer a bit more lifting force.

However, you do run the risk of the tailgate fouling the roof if this increased height increases the angle to such an extent.

Plus, in a few years I can envisage the person who buys your car, complaining that they need to stand on a box to pull the tailgate closed...
