Re: Scenic II handbrake / biting point
Have taken mine to Reno. Its going back on Thursday, they think there is air in the hydrolics which stops the clutch biting point from matching up with the parking brake. The air needs to be removed. Reno guy said its a tricky job, so easily missed if garage have not had much experience of working on scenics. Two different techs said same thing separently so hopefully it will work. £80 for about an hours work plus some fluid.
Sorry its not a very technical reply but hope it helps!
Same problem here, particularly in reverse. Struggling to find the biting point clutch/throttle point to release brake - just had a new clutch fitted.
Its a bit of a problem as I can't judge how much of each is needed to release so the car is jolting a lot as I take off.
How did everyone fare? Did anyone find a solution?
Also, the car is less 'zippy' since I've had the clutch changed is that normal?
