Re: Renault Scenic 1 - Boot Lock Button Fix
Hi, I parked up went for a walk, on returning I saw that the boot catch had come out, and being a bit of a handy man, I went to my garage and took the lining off the rear hatch, put the boot catch back in place and worked out what was needed.
All it needs is a cur clip to keep the button/catch in place, unfortunately I never had a cur clip the right size but I did have a soft
spring so I cut a piece of, the twisted a small tail on the end, and prized it into position, works rely well.
If you've lost your boot catch, I would recommend you visit your local car dismantler's to find the part you need, and for less than £5.00 you could have your boot catch fixed.
