Re: MV632 vs NV632?

The paint code is 632 - Gris Boreal.

The prefix, is Renault-speak for the lacquered finish on the paint.

MV = Metallise Vernise metallic paint & Varnish (lacquer)

NV = Nacre Vernis solid paint (pearl) & Varnish

Your paint code has been used for many years and there are actually some 14 variations of which only 2 are pearl.

Therefore, to ensure the best possible paint-match, you should source panels from the same paint-code prefix as your own car.

I can understand if this is confusing, but in fairness, it's by no means unusual for manufacturers to change paint formulations slightly each year.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
