Re: Hi speed cars..useable?

i have a friend who has an Evo 8, and it came as standard with 260 bhp

to me, thats pretty good, but he decided he wanted 400bhp out of it, so he spent thousands on new turbo ect and tuning, and finally achieved his goal

but that still wasnt enough, now it has to have 600bhp, that meant full engine forge and rebuild, another new turbo , and many other replacement parts

so it has now been off the road for the last 8 months in the garage, the present bill is running at about 6 grand, for what ? the speed limit is still 70 mph

hes not loaded, earns the same as me, is 6 grand worth 2 seconds off your 0-60 time ? and possible loss of home ?

i would love a super car, sub 3 second 0-60, but im pretty sensible and ill live with 150bhp

speed limiters are there for a reason, some of the parts on cars are only guaranteed safe up to 150 mph

you make your choices, you take your chances
