It will be interesting to see what the manual for this car says when Haynes bring it out in March.
They usually find ways to do things yourself when all the Handbook says is "take it to your Renault dealer now"

Swap the hid lamps between left and right. If the fault goes with it, the bulb is duff; otherwise it's the power supply (ballast).
Cheers

Hi,

I think my problem with my xenon was caused by water aswell, after driving in heavy rain one night the next day I found my right headlamp washer was stuck up, I had used the windscreen washer quite a few times that night. It was the right xenon that would not come on.

Obviously after driving the car for a few days in the dry the puddle you mention must have dried out and as I said the xenons are now ok. So is the right washer after spraying some WD40 into the hole they pop out of.

If I need to remove my bumper for any reason I will also try to waterproof any electronics I find.

Thanks for your help, Dave.

PS I have just read the translation by Franz it is very good and has prompted me to remove my bumper as soon as I get the time and seal everything I can find!

Cool Just a comment

Hi - I have a background in electronics and computer repairs, tech support. (ie logical thinking) Whenever I look through a thread like this I look for the bl**ding obvious.

I may have missed it but can you swap the two headlamp bulbs over?

If the fault follows the bulb ..... = 110 "only"! I didn't see anyone suggest this.

The only risk would be that in handling the lamps you may damage them and hence start all over again.

BTW can't fault "Sports Tourers" logic.

Sympathetically yours.
PS Sorry just noticed this has already been suggested ....
