My wife has a Laguna II and we were mighty p1ssed when we found Renault had put the ISOFIX fixings in the wrong place and the rear seat had to be cut!!!! What made it worse the local dealer wanted to charge us for the pleasure. A call to customer services soon kicked that into touch. Although ISOFIX seats are very expensive they are brilliant and remove the possibility of a poorly fixed child seat.

I was amazed to find that Renault have not sorted the ISOFIX fixing issue in the facelift Laguna but at least they have put little zips into the seat so no more cutting.

I have just tried to put the Jane Matrix lie flat car seat on the back seat and it doesn't work. It would be very unsafe to leave the seat in the lie flat position as it tips forwards and backwards

For anyone wanting to buy one of these seats i wouldn't bother with the expense. Just get a basic rebel model instead.

Heres a link to Jane to see more on this new car seat Jane Matrix

So what's the deal with cutting the seats for isofix???! Will the dealers do this for free; does anyone have a photo?
