I am not mechanically minded, I wish I were, I am more electronicly and logically minded, I can do some things, pads etc, but anything else I am more likely to bodge in style (have experi3enced this before)

I did a little research, and after several quotes, and prices for parts ranging from 49 for a pair to as much as 52 for each side, I decided that for 120 to have a cheap pair fitted, if they lasted 2 years it would still be a cost saving to me, rather than either paying someone more than double, or doing a crap job myself and in turn causing some other damage.
Currently in spottedhaggis's garage:
2002 Laguna 1.9 DCI Privilege....and is loving every second of it

They changed both bushes in 2 hours, charging 92.00 for labour, plus my 28 for the parts

Total bill 120 inclusive of everything

It is also worth noting, that the driver side boot had slipped off, so I asked if they could take a look at it, and they discovered it was not split, pushed it back into place and replaced the plastic click that holds it on with a metal one, and they did that for free.

I for one am going back to them again.

They are the same people that did my intercooler, purchased it online for 118 inclusive, and they charged me 2 hours labour to fit it.

A very good small family run garage where customers def come first.
That's the best sort of place. I've recently found one and I'm hoping they'll keep me happy for a while. Fixed a rattling exhaust effectively for free, then did a weld repair on it when it later broke. Kwik Fit and the like wouldn't go near a welder. Very reasonable prices. Would consider getting them to refurb the turbo , or quote for it at least

Hi, I had my bushes done at an independent garage and it cost me 100.00 supplied and fitted, as to the water leak, I had it in the back of mine but I fixed it by tucking the rubber seal into the groove where it meets the roof and re-seating it all round, and it's not leaked since.

Renault Laguna II - Phase 1 - Wheels and Tyres - Worn Rear Suspension Bushes

I have just got a quote from a Renault dealer for my rear bushes .......

324 supplied and fitted.
Seems bit steep, even for a stealer, I was quoted 255 inc vat from 2 seperate dealers last week, and I thought that was over the top! Did plan to do it myself till I looked at it and it looked too much like heavy engineering for me, so the garage it is for me. Need a tpms valve recoded anyhow, so it's the two birds wiith one stone approach for me.
