Exclamation Renault Laguna II - Phase 1 - Wheels and Tyres - Worn Rear Suspension Bushes

Hello
can anyone please tell me the cost off replacing the bushes on a laguna 11,can it be done at any garage or is it a renault garage only. Also has any member had problems with water in the front and rear foot wells,as i now have this problem also.Had the old laguna, and new this was a problem with the door seals but thought this would have been fixed with the new model. Not impressed at all.Any help would be great.

The problem that existed with the old lagunas exists for almost all cars. The door seals are rubber and over time rubber perishes ( becomes hard and brittle ). However I have not heard of the problem yet with the Laguna II could it be the sunroof leaking due to blocked drain holes ?

As for the bushes see below

The bushes can be replaced any where.. There are NO special tools required..
The Rear Axle has to be removed to gain access to the rear bushes..
The old bushes are then bashed out with a very very heavy hammer.. Then replaced in a similar fashion.. Be aware that the bushes are "sided" and must be put back orientated correctly..

Laguna II rear suspension

I have been getting a donking noise from the back when going over bumps and a funny noise when turning tightly at speed to the right. When my car was in at a renualt garage an engineer who test drive the car made a observation that he could hear a noise coming from the rear suspension. Strange thing is they never looked at the problem or even tried to give me a quote. Therefore does any one know what I should expect to pay to have the rear suspension replaced and/or is it easy to do myself. My Laguna is a 1.6 expression 2001 model, I've done 57k miles.

Cheers
Richard
