manifold and removed about two golf balls worth of carbon from ports and manifold
, valve was fairly clean by comparison.
took car for short run down road (about a mile), started ok apart from the bad valves sound which cleared quickly, pulled like a train down the road
, but then big flat spot appeared
, followed by glow plug/engine computer fault lights and almost limp mode performance back home
will take for another longer run tomorrow to give it a proper blow through.
just wondering if i should be looking out for any other problems when doing so.
valve came apart on removal but under closer inspection these parts are only held together by sleeves in the bolt holes, as one part is a solenoid and the other just a sprung loaded valve i was not too concerned by this
, it all bolted back on ok.
