I've just managed to unstick a rear caliper!.
The caliper seemed to be really jammed(I had to grind the lip which had formed on the disc just to get the caliper free).
I completely removed the caliper and got it onto the bench, which made working on it a lot easier.
Once the pads are levered out, four indents in the piston can be seen. First of all try to rotate the piston with long nose pliers in the indents. If this doesn't work you may have to make up a tool from 2mm steel or similar.
Once the piston is free, grip it vertically in a vice (remove the bleed nipple first to prevent damage) Using a block of wood and a hammer, try gently to knock the piston back into the housing. Once you get it moving it should go back relatively easily.
