Any other ideas?

rear wiper update

managed to replace the wiper link assembly having to buy a brand new one for 60.00 from dealer. Managed to get the nut glued to the window using a product called power bond plus. Its a 2 part glue. Took wiper motor apart to make sure nothing seized but on re-fitting the wiper I can't get it to work. Tested the motor connections (cable) but getting nothing. I'm going to have to test the motor by putting 12v through it (assuming connection 2 is to the motor so if anyone knows otherwise please let me know incase I burn it). If motor is OK, then its down to connections. Anyone done this before? help would be greatly appreciated

Cool similar problem

I have a 2003 laguna tourer, about 6 months ago at about 5 o'clock in the morning there was an almight bang outside my house. I ran out to find the back screen was smashed. I phoned the police as I heard a car driving away. Then to my dismay I found out that nothing had touched the car - the screen had just exploded. Autoglass informed me that it was a common problem with them!! Not good is it. Touch wood, the replacement seems fine - time will tell.

Spoke to local dealer FISHBROTHERS Swindon who said as its a 52 car, if it was going to break it would have done by now therefore no responsibility lies with Renault.

Looks like having to get autoglass to do it on my insurance later today but have spoken to Renault UK who are "looking into it"!

Has anyone else had experience of this happening? The window was undamaged! Last time I shut the lift up window was 4 days ago!

I am DISGUSTED by Renault - or rather at this time the dealer! NO OTHER car i've owned has done this!

Exploding rear window

The rear window in my Laguna Sports Tourer Initiale exploded this morning while it was defrosting. Temperature was -3. Car is 3 3/4 years old. Noticed last night that one of the heating elements wasn't working, but this may just be coincidence. Autoglass have the screen in stock, so possibly not an unusual occurance.
