Close the window fully, then press the switch up again even tho the window is already closed. Works every time! Nige

Electric windows- opening/closing in stages

I found this problem, not sure if it is meant to be there or not. But I found that if you close the window fully until it stops and then pull up on the switch again and let go, the windows will work normally. Just give it a try, it worked for me.

Fist you need to determine what type of mechanism you have there are 2 basic types (in the laguna anyway) maybe a visit to a dealer to get a part no. I got my replacement off Ebay for £110 as it is virtually impossible to replace a snapped cable. If you can find out I'll run through the process of changing a mech its not that hard if you are carefull and patient

I see you drive an IDE same reg as mine have you had any problems with the throttle body (mechanical or electrical) throwing up spurious faults? The latest diagnostic mentioned throttle potentiometer. Any other problems yuo have had would help in my quest.
(appologies moderator for posting this here but I've tried elsewhere with no luck)

Im having the same problem with o/s window although this only happens in really hot weather and the window makes a very loud screeching noise. i.e. it took 5 mins to get window up to today.
Hope someone out there can help
