As I lowered my drivers window today it made a kind of crunching noise! Ouch. Needless to say it will now not go back up passed a certain point. The best I can get is it stuck open about 3"s. I assume that it is the regulator that has gone (anyone any other suggestions?).
Anyway, if this is the case then i'm happy to get a regulator from ebay however I want to be sure that I'm getting the right one and this involves taking the door pannel off. This is causing to be rather tricky. Anyone got any information on how to remove a drivers door pannel and fit a regulator for an 02 Laguan II?

Any info appreciated.

The info you want including pictures is on the forum have a look back through this thread (see page 11) if you get stuck I'll try and help. The job is fairly straight forward although taking the door card off is a bit of a delicate operation. If you need a new mech look on eBay , remember to order the right type there are 2 one has a 2 pin plug and 1 has a 6pin plug I have posted details of part numbers. The 6 pin one is fitted to cars with the comfort control mech the most common cause is a snapped cable but there is a guy on eBay offering a repair service for 40 + p&p

Window regulator repairs

Am suffering problems on my car with o/s front window. Having read this thread, am wondering if there is anyone out there who'd do the job for me at considerably less price than renault garages? Some money in your back pocket!

The job is a relatively easy one, the hardest part is getting the doorcard off without snapping any of the poppers. If you need a replacement mech there are some on eBay for a lot less than you'd pay at a dealer, just read back through the thread for a "how to" on replacing awindow mech. Don't be afraid have a go!!
