There are a couple of sellers on e Bay who will supply complete mechs but only the 2 or 6 pin types your only other chance is a breaker
Hi Mike,
Sorry for the delayed reply - I haven't been on the forum much lately.
If I can remove the electronics box as you say, do you know if the contents are "potted" or not? If not maybe there's a chance I can fix it (30 years + in electronics).
My problem is definately the electronics rather than the motor or the regulator. It's now got to the point where if I close the window fully it always re-opens itself, and resetting does no good at all. Up to now I've had no success finding a used replacement, and frankly I'd rather wedge the window shut with a piece of wood than pay Renault their absurd prices!

Cheers
Andy

Best of luck. The printed circut is not "potted" just ordinary surface mount type and you will see that the extension which plugs into the motor is only a 2 pin anyway. Don't know if the circuit board will lend itself to repar but have a go if you feel confident. I still have a key card in pieces which I was hoping to extract the chip off my spare and solder it onto a used card but the component is so fragile I've left it till my hand is more steady,

Hi Mike,
Thanks for that. I will certainly take it apart and have a go.
Regarding the keycard, one of mine was duff when I bought the car; it would lock the car but not open it. When I cut it open (with a stanley knife) one of the switches fell out!! Five minutes with a soldering iron and a tube of super glue and I'd saved myself over 100...
I'll post the outcome.
Cheers
Andy
