Rear window problems

Hi everyone I am new on this forum and I have a Laguna II Privilege 2001.
I have a problem with the driver side rear window.
The plastic item that hold the window was broken so I manage to buy a used mechanism and replaced the old one but it seems that I have the same problem like many others here My window goes up or down only a few inches and stops.
I tried to make a reset of the system but no luck. I switched the regulator with my old one and same result.
Please someone can give me an advice what can I do?
Thank you

One-Touch Windows All-Round Query

Hi all, just a quick query im hoping someone can answer, so far had the issue with having to "re-program" the drivers window one-touch function, but im just curious as to whether this one-touch function should work for all windows, (its only ever worked for my window only since i bought it) All other windows have to have the button held down till the windows in the desired place... so they dont stick, just curious as to whether i could control the one-touch function from the drivers panel?? Cheers for this!!

200, rubbish.

Look on Ebay for a Laguna II window regular (plenty on e-bay being broken up and selling the parts)

Anyone with a wee bit of technical skill will be able to fix this in less than an hour

I NEVER go near the main dealers, rip off merchants!

Laguna window jerky action

Hi, I dont think it is the switch as my laguna has started doing the same thing except it is affecting all 4 windows. So I think the problem is in the uch which may be caused by water ingress. Open the fuse cover and look out for brown water staining.

I had this problem with two windows. In both cases the cable had corroded. I replaced the cable ony using bicycle break cable. It cost me 79 p each.
