Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Electric Window Problems - Regulator Repairs

I have just replaced the RH front window regulator cables on my Laguna II with a kit from eBay . In the process, I had what I now discover is the common problem of the window just inching up and down. Before I discovered that it needed a reset, I had had the regulator in and out several times to try to find what was causing the problem.

On the last occasion, I noticed that the window was going down instead of up and vice versa, so I took it out yet again to check that the cables were correctly fitted using a photo supplied with the kit. They were, and even after attempting several resets, the window was still moving in the wrong direction for a while until it stopped moving at all and just made little clicks when the switch was operated.

I took it out yet again to check nothing was stuck and still had free movement of the sliders with the motor removed. After putting it back again the same thing happened with a few movements in the wrong direction and then no movement at all.

Can anyone please help as it is driving me round the bend. All cables and connectors look OK.

Hi the left front window of my Laguna II sport has stopped working. One of the cables has broken, a popular illness. As I live in France I have just been on Ebay France. If you type in "leve vitre" you will find loads of new replacement cables and clips etc for the window. The cheapest is from Turkey at euros 9,99 with 3,50 delivery.

You can also buy the complete unit assembled with or without motor

If you down load the Google tool bar you can get it to translate the page for you.
