Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Electric Window Problems - Regulator Repairs

Hi all. Wel I'm pleased to say the repair has now been done, and I have a happy window again. The only problem I had was the old cable had snapped with the window fully up, and it was the devil's own job to get the glass off the 2 slider pegs. Anyway, I did the job exactly the same way as I did before and this time as back in January, the tensioning of the cables was a pig. As mentioned in my last post, I gave the cables and runners a good coat of lithium compound grease, so hopefully the cables won't rust away quite so quickly this time. Syncronising the window motor was no problem. If anyone needs any tips or pointers, please feel free to PM me and I will offer any help I can.
All the best.

Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Electric Window Problems - Regulator Repairs

Both window regulator cables had snapped on my Laguna mkII, the passenger one was like that when I bought it & the passenger one chucked it last week. A wee trip to a scrappies yesterday and got myself two from the same car for 20 each and both appear to be in pristine condition. Fitted the driver one yesterday and the other one hopefully before the end of the week (if the ran stops)!! Well chuffed!!
