Smile Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Electric Window Problems - Regulator Repairs

This may be an easy one, but I will ask anyway.: I have recently stripped down the electric window assembly and after buying a new set of cables off ebay for 20 (they were previously very snarled up and badly kinked, having spooled off the winder on the back of the regulator) I managed to replace these, though after successfully putting it all back together, one of the blue plastic clips that the cables loop onto (think they are commonly called regulator clips) broke and the window is now being strapped up in place. I have ordered a replacement blue clip, but can anyone tell me how you get the old clip off the runner and the new one on in its place? I have reassembled everything so the car was usable (including putting back the door skin) so cant easily see whats involved. Can anyone give me any advice on replacing these little blue clips before i strip it all down into bits again?

Hi, I replaced a blue clip on one of my regs and its straightforward as I recall. You either slide it on from one end of the reg or it just pushes on.

Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Electric Window Problems - Regulator Repairs

Hi,

I have the same problem and need help! My front drivers side window has completly gone down and won't come back up again. I'm guessing i made need to change the whole regulator?

I do not want to go to a main dealer as they have already quoted me at least 200.00 + VAT.
Please help and tell me what kit I need to buy off ebay or somewhere? How long would it roughly take etc and if what you think it actually is?

Its jammed and is making no noise or anything in coming up which is a hazard in many ways being on the drivers side so urgent response is needed.

Many thanks,
Sarah
