Work window to full bottom position and hold down button for 10 seconds then work it to full closed position and hold button up for 10 seconds....
this will free your window to work correctly...

My regulator snapped 2 weeks ago. New regulator mega bucks fitted by renault. Set of cables 3.99 delivered off ebay about 2 hours work going very slowley. No brainer. The cables are a little trickey to fit though. If anyone intends to do this PM me and I'll give you a few tips.

Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Electric Window Problems - Regulator Repairs

I have just replaced the window mechanism for the 2nd time 1st one was from scrap yard cost 45 with motor and regulator. This time the cables snapped and I decided to go for a new mechanism inc cables, just in case the cable sleeves had corroded away, cheapest I could find on ebay was 70/80 from scrap cars. Any way stumbled across Mister Auto what a find new mechanism with cables 40 inc postage, ordered on Tuesday 4.30pm arrived Friday from FRANCE (quicker than postage in UK) highly recommend

Ive had to do 2 recently. On my wifes car, and mine.
This time, rather than a cable kit, i spent a bit more and got a complete assembly with 2yr warranty.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150978909444

Complete job done in 20mins.

I will definately use these in the future, the windows are so smooth and quiet.

Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Electric Window Problems - Regulator Repairs

Hi Guys,

Thanks to Paul Taylor I ordered (from the website) and received it today - its the complete unit except for the motor.
I already ordered the full cable kit, but with the window being stuck in the closed position and trying to do it by myself I didn't know how long it would take, so took the easy route and bought the Ebay complete one, I can keep the other one for another time.

The door handle screw is T25, the two at the bottom door edge are T15, I saw a post earlier in this thread saying they door handle is T15, its not this size on mine.

Cheers
Steve
