I already ordered the full cable kit, but with the window being stuck in the closed position and trying to do it by myself I didn't know how long it would take, so took the easy route and bought the Ebay complete one, I can keep the other one for another time.

The door handle screw is T25, the two at the bottom door edge are T15, I saw a post earlier in this thread saying they door handle is T15, its not this size on mine.

Good Stuff.
I think its worth it going for a whole assembly. After doing 2 previously with a cable kit. These can be a real pain. And on one i got once, the Pulley was wrong meaning i could never get the cable tight. But with a fully assembled kit, not an issue.
2 Year warranty too.

Yes, door handle is a T25, and T15 along the bottom of the door.
Remove Speaker cover, and remove speaker.
Pull off Black Cover on the inside of the door Mirror.
Then gently go around the door card with a large flat blade screwdriver and pop off all the clips.
Lift door card up 1" and then pull away from door by 2" only.
Unclip door handle cable.
Twist off bulb holder for light on the bottom of the door card.
Finally, pull out long Tab on Window Switch cable. The connector plug will then separate.

Use a 10mm spanner to remove nuts on Window mechanism.
NOTE. Replacement Window Mechanism has M6 holes in its top positions, where as the original has M6 studs.
Thus you will need TWO M6x10 bolts.

Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Electric Window Problems - Regulator Repairs

Hi Paul,

Not had chance to swap out the reg yet, gonna have a go tomorrow, hope it only takes 20 mins as you say as its pretty cold outside faffing with stuff like this at the mo, the only problem I see is the power cabling for the window switch - its got a big plastic cover over it so you can't even see the connector, I don't really want to disturb the switch panel itself cos some numpty partly wrecked a couple of the lugs that the clips go onto, so much for a pro garage, it now wont clip down properly.

I think its a case of do a bit, go in for a coffee and warm up, have another go and when I've got it out swap over the motor and that should be it, just pop it all back in and reset the windows.

The window plate is quite easy, you should be able to lift it slightly and see 2 silver clips, just push these in with a small flat headed screwdriver and then the the front of the panel. Once you have released these 3 the other 2 you can push in with your fingers to release them. Have the lugs been completly snapped or just pushed in and twisted slightly ?? If totally snapped a new covers is not too expensive example ebay item 261173725715. The switches are just held in with 4 clips easy to do.

Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Electric Window Problems - Regulator Repairs

Hi Swin,

I don't know if its a lug / lugs that are broken or if its a clip/s that are missing/ twisted yet I've not had chance to take it out, seen one on ebay @ 13.64 del on my wish list if I need it.

Should be doing it tmoz, usual story was gonna do it today, something else cropped up as usual lol.

Its annoying when you take your motor in to a "pro" and they manage to ---- it up, a little bit of patience and nous would help.

Cheers

Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Electric Window Problems - Regulator Repairs

Anyone know if the Red wire at the motor should be 12v + , and if not, is this relay controlled, or more likely to be fatigued wire at the door jam/connectors? The window operates if I jumper from the slightly thinner yellow at the front window switches. Cheers.
