tyre pressure sensor Laguna 2001

sorry its taken so long, but finally ended up with a dead tyre pressure sensor so got my soldwering iron out and melted the top resin away. Almost died in the toxic fumes! Anyway took the top resin layer off and there is a small circut board under that, which is probably no longer useable after the heat of the soldering iron, and could not see a battery to replace. The battery must be deeper in the unit.

So bacisally I think there is FAT chance of reusing one. I got two off ebay that where new and half the price the dealer wanted and thats after the exchange rate (I live in New Zealand).

LAGUNA 2.2 Dci Parking Sensors

MY front offside tyre failed yesterday and the display turned very red. I fitted the stell spare and the display turned orange and said Sensor Fault and the front offside tyre indicator was missing. A new tyre was fitted but sensor fault was still displayed but after about 3 miles the system reverted to normal but all the pressures now seem to be recording high. Anyone any ideas?

Thumbs up

Hi guys.
Im having a problem with 1 of my sensors & I think ive tried all the remedies in this thread but still not resolved problem.

It started a few weeks back, I checked my tyre pressures & added a few psi as required but when I drove away I got the Red light on dash saying 'STOP' puncture. (N/S/R) Checked the wheel but it was fully inflated so drove home.
Looked on this Forum & tried over-inflating then resetting the correct pressure. No joy.
So I then tried disconnecting the battery & when I reconnected it the Red light was gone. Success? No! After driving up the road I was back to square one.

Any advice please because its driving me crazy

tyre sensors

Hi there sorry if this was posted before, only recently bought a 53 plate laguna 2. It has silverstone alloys on it, can someone tell me if all laguna 2s have tyre pressure sensors as my valves look like normal ones, also i have a nail in one of the tyres if there is sensors in them is there anything i need to tell the garage to do when getting puncture repaired,
p.s tyre hasn't been completely flat but was down to 12 psi when i found the nail, does the tyre have to be completely flat to set off sensor

Hi there.

I'm pretty sure that the tyre pressure sensors have metal valve stems (with coloured rings around their bases).

Believe me, a lot of members get allsorts of doom & gloom warnings if the pressure changes by even a couple of psi - the fact your tyre was at 12 (without a warning) would strongly suggest they aren't fitted.

Also, there should be a sticker on the leading edge of the driver's door indicating the position on the car, that the respective wheels must be fitted, again, if you don't have that, it would confirm the above.

Hope that helps.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
