On the instrument panel behind the steering wheel below the clocks is a small square which when you press the end of the stalk tells you certain things, like m.p.g how much farther you can go on the fuel in the tank, how far you have travelled on the tank full etc,in this window it also tells your tyre pressures for each wheel provided you got sensors fitted.

Can someone give me an indication of rough price i should expect to pay for the part and fitting for a pressure sensor for 2001 laguna II please? Also i have seen a used one on ebay which is going mega cheap, any one on advice whether i should risk it?

Each tyre sensor has a unique code number which you will need in order for it to be programmed into the TPM system. Also remember not all the sensors are the same - for instance those for steel wheels are different than those for alloys, etc.
My local tyre dealer will supply and fit a brand new sensor for 28 all in but I would need to take it to a Renault or tyre dealer who has the proper programming equipment. Also remember if you buy a used unit and then pay for it to be fitted and programmed and it don't work will the seller re-imburse all of your costs??

Personally any of the second-hand ones I have seen on good old fleabay look kinda corroded which means they may be prone to breaking off when you wouldn't want it too.
