Hi Zulu,

Just got your PM - but will reply here. Yes they can be turned off. I phoned a few dealers and got refused flat then found a dealer (as luck would have it really close to home) that would do it as long as I got a letter from my insurers stating that they were fine with the system being disabled.

They only charged me half hours labour to do it too.

Hi guys, here I am a week later to say that this didn't remedy itself after all. The sensor fault has come up again and I'm wondering if I have to go to dealer - if I had a new sensor valve fitted, then does it have to be programmed to the car?

Thanks in advance for any advices.

Nina02 - just to elaborate, all sensors are mass produced and as such have to be programmed to each vehicle so that the control unit knows which wheel it is fitted to - hence the colour coded rings that are fitted to each sensor. The cost of reprogramming will depend on the dealer but should not take more than half an hour.

Is it possible to program the sensors with that USB adaptor that you can plug to a laptop? Or you need a specific Renault programmer
