There's 2 places they could leak. The valve assemblies are bolted onto the wheel with a nut from the outside - however there's also a rubberish washer on the inside to seal. Perhaps the washer is on its way out at 7 years, or the nut needs a little nudge tighter.

The other place is from the valve itself. They are standard valves and can be removed/replaced/renewed with a standard valve remover.

To check the valve put a bit of spit over it and see if it bubbles. To check the seal submerge it in water and look for the bubbles.

I had one with a slight leak the other day - had problem with same one about a year ago.

If you skwirt the WD40 it will probably bubble around the nut if the leak is there. If you are going to try tightening it be very careful. Torque only 8 Nm. I sprayed WD40 all over the threads then nipped up bit a at a time until no more tell tail bubbles.

If you overtighten it you can snap the valve from the monitor body. Valve could well seal - but monitor body will be rolling around in your tyre - effecting the balance and I guess monitor won't like it.
