Hi and a Happy New Year to you all.

I have just been out in the Laguna and i do not have any Dipped headlights. Parking, Main and Fog lights all work but neither of the Dipped lights work.

I find it strange that both lights are not working. I have checked the left and right dipped light 15Amp fuses and they are both fine.

Would anyone know what I can do to fix the problem, I haven't checked the bulbs as i do not think that both dipped would of blown at the same time.

Thanks

Stranger things have happened

I've just had to change the bulbs in my Lag II and thanks to Halfrauds, had to do the job twice, as their guide book states the wrong number

You'll need 2 H7 bulbs which Halford's have their 'super brilliance' on buy one get one free :) They are quite good as well :)

I found that to change the nearside bulb, the battery needs to come out, and the offside, you need to remove the washer bottle filler pipe, which simply pulling it upwards sorts out.

HTH :)

Is it a case of buy a new one and replace and see !!

Also i take it from the picture that you gain access from inside the engine bay on the right hand side ?

What is it wif you geezers from sarf of the river.

Anyhows if you read the top of the picture it will be givin' yous a better idea of the location of the fuse box..

Note that the picture shows a "Left Hooker" so the glove box is shown on the right..

Sorry help was a little criptic but thought you wouldn't mind having to use your noodle a bit matey !!

Quickest and easiest way is to try another known working identical relay.
If the dipped lights work you know the other relay was faulty. Otherwise you either need to know how to use a multimeter and have some electronic/electrical knowledge and have a 12volt power supply. The relay is basically a high power "switch".

Just to finish of the post.

I took the car into have the lights fixed.
Both the bulbs needed replacing and it took them over an hour to do this !!
They said i was lucky as the Meganes take twice as long to do.

They only charged me an hour labour plus the bulbs so it cost £70.

If it was as easy to replace the bulbs as the handbook states i would of saved £50......modern cars eh ;)
