thats so funny how so many of yous are getting over 50mpg i'm not getting any more than 34mpg in my 1.9dci and i can only get around 400mile before the warning lights come on and i usually do another 50miles before filling to the top! is there something wrong with ma car? got better MPG in my 2.0L vetra petrol, done the same miles on a smaller tank.

Smile mpg

i drive a 2004 laguna 1.9dci, with 81000 on the clock, and its 3rd birthday this month! climate control is always on and i get between 30 and 40 mpg, my foot is mostly to the to the floor though and 70 percent motorway. i usually get about 450miles to a tank but i have had nearly 600 miles but that was all motorway at 60 to 70 mph

I have been driving for fifty years give or take a little bit right back in thefity's it was a known fact that pumps rearly gave a full gallon it had to be within certain tolerances and most garages if not all had them set as close to the bottom end of tolerance for there benefit I have to assume it is still the same now but none of you seem to take this into account and it could count for some of the differances in the mpg between differant garages so you will never get a true figure on using your car alone to get mpg also your seedometre will give you figure for your car an identical car could give diffrant figures as speedometres are not calibrated.

[QUOTE=chrisash32;20218]Hi All,
I am just interested to know what everyone here is getting out of there 1.9 DCi engines.

I only seem to be getting about 31MPG on average.
I cannot get it to shift above that.

I donít go over 2k on the revs when driving around town.
The only time it is at constant 2k or over is on the motorway.

It is costing me too much to run the car. At this rate if that is all i am going to get its going to force me to sell up.

I am just wondering if this is correct for the eng / car?

Thanks
