hi, i've had my laguna 1.9dci for bout 6 months now i usually get between 40 to 50 mpg, normally nearer 50, i do about 50 50 motorway/dual carriage way and town driving, my last car was a 30 d turbo , in that i learnt that every now and then you had to red line in 3rd gear to get all the crap out of the system, it worked in that as prior to doing it fuel economy was rubbish then got better after doing it, i do it in the laguna but not as often, does seem to help me. hope it helps you guys out there?

I'm surprised at how poor mine is on juice, it seems to do around 38 (thats worked out, not trip computer) whatever I do in it, did a 500 mile round trip at the weekend with a mate in an identical car his is a hatch, mine an estate, both 2003 priviledge 120's, on the way up about 90 ish most of the way, mine 37.2, his 46.1, on the way back purposefully at 65 -75 all the way, mine 42.1, his 54.2, this I don't understand, has had a replacement maf , egr has been removed and all the inlet and pipework cleaned out, just wondering now if the cat has collapsed and is partially blocking the exhaust, but I'm not sure as there is virtually no difference in performance between the two cars.

i drive a 2002 laguna tourer 120 1.9dciwith 143,000 miles on the clock,i travel 15 miles each way to work and WAS getting 39-41mpgand i am not light with the right foot, since my radiator hose split and i boiled the engine a tad i am now only getting 34-36mpg,i assume head gasket has a leak as i keep getting air locks in the coolant system, and loose around 0.5 ltrs of coolant every 2-3 weeks(repair scheduled for 02/01/08)

LagII 1.9Dci 120bhp Tourer Y Reg

Purchased car Nov 2007 & have done 4k miles since. Daily commute is 135miles total (100 Mway miles / 20 miles on 50-60mph roads & 15 miles 30mph limit) & if I'm light and stick to 60-62mph on mway I've had a reading of 50.4mpg before Christmas.

Following some quicker driving over Christmas week, down to 47.8mpg.
