I love rotaries... Sound like lawnmowers, but go like a rockets!

I had a ride in an RX7 once, and I've wanted one ever since. I should imagine the power delivery is a bit more peaky (though still very smooth?) on the Renesis, sice it's N/A but putting down similar power?

Yes it is rather peaky, but great fun.

Finally got my car back after a new egr valve, new MAF and new intercooler. My first tank returned an average of 50 on manaul calculation with mostly motorway driving between 80-90 and some heavy rain and wind. The second time I filled up I had spent alot of time in stop start traffic in london and then some boosting arounf on saturday trying to find somewhere....manual calc puts it on 48mpg this time.

Ive found my trip computer under reads by 2-3mpg.....which is quite nice as I took a steady trip in this morning and its flickign between 58.8 and 60.1....that just cruising at 65....Im sure the traffic on the way home will rape that down a few. :-(

Cool Fool consumption?

I find this pole really interesting, nay hillarious. My new (to me) Laguna is currently averaging about 44mpg, which for me is execellent I had a Megane Scenic dci 105 a few years back and the best I saw from that was 47mpg during the fuel blockade in 2001, when I was driving like a vicar on mogadon! The 6spd geabox obviously helps, as does the character of the car, ie, not even slightly sporty, despite being called a sport tourer! dead comfy place to be though! As for the pole results, the one person getting 11-20mpg needs to let the handbrake off and at the other end of the spectrum, if you get better than 90mpg, try starting the engine and give up pushing!
By comparison, our other car, a mazda 5 2.0td sport with 6 spd transmission struggles to get over 40mpg. It does go like a bat out of hell though!
