Angry Mpg

I used to get 42-45mpg when fairly new. However, with the turbo intercooler on the way out [apparently squeaking at high revs] and glow plugs gone this has deteriorated to 35-39mpg I think? Renault were not to commital on whether these would alter fuel consumption. Aaron, on the internet, may be able to supply intercooler a lot cheaper than Renault but they list 98-01 and not later for a 1.9dCi? No satnav, rear bushes are also in need of doing. I think the satnav aerial got stretched after a warrantied door seal went by wire box in left footwell.

Hi, we have a 3.0DCi and fitted a Kingquick unit which gave on average 10mpg more (heavy footed driving), and at the same time, more power. Have a look at http://www.kingquick.co.uk/ Would expect that on the 1.9 DCi you could get more than 10mpg, especially if you are lightfooted.
The main difference between Ian of Kingquick and the other units for sale, is the personal service. He was the only one that spend the time ensuring optimal performance. For an initial investment of 160.00 you have recovered your cost within 1,000 miles.

I wouldn't go as far as to call the onboard mpg computer a liar but in my experience it is economic with the truth.

Pass me the salt cellar I need to take a good pinch
