I filled up before I went then did it again when I got back, using the same pump. Based on the amount of fuel I put in, I got 54.3mpg.

Just a quick update. I have the 150BHP Chip fitted now (purchased for £89.00 off eBay ). Completing the same journey today, the trip computer showed 57.1mpg, an improvement of around 10%. A very worthwhile investment. As well as improved fuel consumption, the drivablity of the car is much better.

Hi everyone,

Well my 1.9 dci sport tourer has just clocked 140k and is still good for 39mpg in town and 57mpg on a run and i reset my computer at every fill up

Still love the look of the sport tourer as much today as i did when i first saw it in 2001

It really depends how your driving the car(pedal punching won't do it any favours) and if it's the 90, 120 or 130 version of the engine, also short around town trips are the death of diesel.

03 120 Laguna II Duff Glow Plugs will not come out of aluminium block of engine, tried penetrating oil and wd40 but danger of ceramics dropping into engine block! So, left in! Economy about 38-42mpg?... with these plugs not working - according to Renault and my independent mechanic but the risk of mending them is too great! I could not afford an engine rebuild! VW etc have special paint on plugs to stop this seizure to block and their plugs exit easily! Hey ho! I havn't given up yet. Mileage about 550 to 600 miles per fill up? IF the plugs were working then I think I would get another 5-10mpg as this was what I got before this problem!

I only seem to be getting about 31MPG on average.
I cannot get it to shift above that.

I donít go over 2k on the revs when driving around town.
The only time it is at constant 2k or over is on the motorway.

It is costing me too much to run the car. At this rate if that is all i am going to get its going to force me to sell up.

I am just wondering if this is correct for the eng / car?

Thanks

Chris
1.9 DCI 120HP. 102000, I average 47mpg. mostly driving to France and Back, at the speed limits, which is 82mph most of the way. Doodling around seems to return about the same. To and From France I am always fully loaded, (spring assisiters fitted to the rear). Just a thought. Has anyone fitted one of those boy racer chips? If not I understand there are some specifically to improve MPG
