Hi everyone who has tried to help eith the radio code issue.

I had to go to my local Renault dealer in Bucks today as the silence in the car without music was getting to me. Well, lo and behold as I was ready to hand over my cash 12+ VAT for them to give me the code,the young girl on reception said 'I can't be bothered to charge you for the code' RESULT! I did mention that I had been on the Renault forum seeking assistance in trying to find a way to obtain my radio code without having to part with any cash and I was given the code for free. So thank you to all who posted me helpful tips

I am sure that this is a factory fitted radio.You have a few options;
1/Sometimes the code gets written on the set itself.If you remove the radio check if there is 3 or 4 digit code hand written on it anywhere.
2/Check the handbook/service book.The code is usually on a credit card sized piece of paper.Sometimes this can be found in the handbook wallet,or sometimes the code can be written down by a previous owner in the handbook/service book.Also check any invoices to see if the code is on them.
3/Contact a Renault dealer (you will need the Vehicle details and the set serial number) and get the code from them.The only problem with this is they may charge you for doing this.
4/Send the set to a Car Radio Specialist and get them to de-code it(again they will charge you for this).
5/Either buy a new aftermarket set or see if there are any Genuine Radios on Ebay that come with the code included.These can sometimes be picked up cheaply if someone has uprated the radio and want to sell their old Genuine set.
Hope this helps.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....

laguna dci stereo code problem

good morning.

after getting some really useful help regarding my headlights, i thought i would also ask if there is a way to get the stereo working by by-passing the code.
my battery was disconnected for a few minutes and my code was lost, Renault have been trying for a few days to get my code but i am still waiting.

i am not a very good singer so a radio would be nice!

any ideas?

Look on the inside front cover of your handbook - there should be a sticker in there with the radio code on it.

Also, my Renault dealer found my code in about thirty seconds when I needed it - all I had to do was give them the VIN. I don't even think they charged me for it...
