Finally solved "unknown" fault!!!

quick run down for those who haven't seen anything of this saga!

For no reason, after stopping for a short time and coming back to the car, the ignition comes on but the electronic fault light doesn't go off. the car then has no throttle and sits inbetween 2/3000 rpm.

It shows as throttle body unidentified on clip. It wasn't the problem after being made to spend 270 on it!

well it's happened! i have finally found a dealer who bothered (quite simply the others didn't!) to diagnose my fault.

They had the car a week to do it and needed renaullt uk to help!

The ECU is dead. It doesn't send a signal to the throttle when it feels like it for no apparant reason!!!!

Just under 500 all in to replace.

Re: Renault Laguna 2 - Revs Erratic*fixed*

Is this a petrol Laguna? Just fixed mine (2007 2.0) today by removing and cleaning the TDC sensor which is located on the flywheel housing at 12 oclock. Easy job.
My problem was an intermittent hesitation at cruising speeds. Even the passenger could feel the 'off/on nature of the power - not a regular misfire, and still obscure enough to be quite driveable.Bill
