Why didn't they design it so that a quick grab of the door handle unlocks the driver's door only, but holding the handle for a couple of seconds before pulling unlocks the rest too?

Instead, you have to decide 'either or' and have it reprogrammed by the dealer when you want to swap over. It's ridiculous! On my non hands-free card Laguna, there are times when I unlock all of the doors (because I have passengers) and there are times when I just want to unlock the driver's door (because I'm on my own in a dodgy area.)

I suppose if you have it on driver's door only, you can still get in the car then press the central locking button to unlock the rest. Or you could just use the buttons on the card the 'old fashioned' way, though that kind of defeats the object.
