Disconnecting the battery will not reset the light..

If your vehicle has full renault service history and with the low milage I would go to your main dealer and you may get Full or partial warranty contribution on the coils .. Even though the car is more than 3 years old..
(However I have just read your post again and you have mentioned you have fitted some "non-genuine" coils , so you would not qualify for the warranty solution)

Coils with Grey tops are NOT the key to whether they are "good" or not.. The manufacturing date code moulded into the body of the coil is the ONLY way of identifying the modified ones.. The code must be greater than 330-3 (Day 330 of 2003). And ONLY Sagem coils are affected..
