The reason I'm still expecting this not to be a
problem, is that the start operation gets nowhere nere this stage. To my mind, (I'm not a car specialist but a practical engineer). Thie problem I have is much earlier in the operation.
I turn the key and NOTHING happens. Well actually the radio turns off, but that is all. There is no click of the started solenoid, and not a murmur from the starter motor.
I would expect that the
sensor would come into play a short time after the motor turning. As the engine is turned over the
identifies where it is and prepares the injection, and spark firing to kick the engine into operation.
Given that I'm seeing absolutely NO action in the engine compartment, I'm of the view that my problem is either in the key switch, wiring or the starter motor. (I'm assuming that the starter motor encorporates the solenoidto engage the motor with the engine.
I really would like to hear from anyone, expert or otherwise, who has come across the same symptoms.
