Hahaha "old gits" (I bought mine when I was almost 30).

I've always believed in 'bigger is better' when it comes to engines (mainly from a longevity perspective), one of the reasons I don't like this 'downsizing' trend we are seeing to reduce CO2, everywhere (apart from in the real world).

I'd had 2 Granada Scorpio's (both 2.0i) beforehand, but always wanted the 'daddy'.

It was a great car at the time, capable of many surprises at the traffic light GP.

Outclassed and outdated compared with many super-diesels these days, but it had a lovely snarl.

Petrol was cheap, disposable income was high - good times.


This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
