I've had similar with my dealership over them mislaying a locking wheel nut key, just stuck to my guns and got them to pay 50% of the cost of replacing the nuts and key.

Then when I requested a safety inspection on my Scenic door mirrors I had to take it to RUK, again just stuck to what I wanted, stick to your guns, say what you would like, in this case the dealership were instructed to do the inspection, in the case of the locking key, we reached a compromise that was at least a step in the right direction.
