How old is the car? Have you owned it from brand new?
Is it left outside overnight? Has it had any respray work?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get a better idea of the history of the car.
Bird muck is very corrosive, even if washed off within a few days it can still stain the paintwork, the first stage of damage. Manufacturers will use this excuse to try to get out of a paintwork warranty issue.
Have you taken it to another dealer for a second opinion? Try taking the car to an independant bodyshop, even a valeter, they should be able to advise you.

Paintwork problems are not an issue I have ever had with any of my Renaults, or any other make come to that. So your problem does sound quite rare. Good luck in your quest to get Renault to fix it, let us know how you get on.
