Sounds like I don't have a leg to stand on huh!

His advert basically said in short

Renault megane for sale, good condition, smooth engine and gears. Handbrake may need adjusting.

He mentioned nothing of the oil leak, compression issue, faulty electrics etc etc.

Looks like a very expensive lesson learned
