Constantly squelling brakes on Megane II

My partner has a 2004 Megane dCi 1.5. We've had it from new in January 04. There's never been any bother from it apart from the brakes.

Most of the time when she brakes you can clearly hear the brakes squell. We've had it in about 3 times now regarding this. Once specifically for that problem, once got it looked at during service and once during a tyre change.

Each time Renault have said there's nothing wrong. There may well be nothing wrong with the brakes but you don't expect a loud squelling noise coming from a near 3 year old car.

Each time an engineer has taken the car out (once with me in it to ensure they are hearing it), they come back saying yeah it squells but we can't find anything wrong.

I'm just wanting to know if anyone else has this problem or what can be done to rectify it.
