Slick 50 Oil additive is a Con i'm afraid and will be potentially destructive to your already fragile Renault DCi engine..

Do a search on Google and look at the litigation that has taken place in the US..
An example HERE and a very interesting article HERE that describes Slick 50 clogging Oil filters..

Now especially on the 1.9/2.2 DCi Laguna, Oil cleanliness and Flow are key to stopping your Turbo charger from Seizing and then rapidly killing the engine..

You wife would have better spent her money on a Decent Fully Synthetic Oil ..

As for the Fuel treatment, I guess that would be OK..
