Good tips (I would probably suggest making these checks - including bulbs - a bit more frequent). one I would also add is to avoid revving the engine whilst its cold - I keep mine below 2500rpm until it has fully warmed. This will help to avoid premature engine wear. In addition, avoiding harsh acceleration from standstill and sharp deceleration will extend your clutch, driveshafts, tyres and brakes. I'm not suggesting a driving style akin to Miss Daisy, but you can still cover distances swiftly, safely and enjoyably - with a degree of finesse just by reading the road ahead.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
