If your car does not have the switch under the accelerator (which would be normal for automatic, and unexpected on a manual) then it will not have the "kick-down release" of the speed limiter.
Probably needs another visit to the scrappie to get this extra switch.

Great thread, BTW. Good to know that an extra box to run the cruise control is not needed.

Re: Renault Megane 2 - Retro-Fit Cruise Control (Guide With Pics)

On this thread, I modified the radio control to give four function buttons.

And when I fitted this control to my Laguna 2, I found that I did not need any extra switches on the pedals, and only the selection switch (CC/SL) on the dashboard was required.

Result!

Hi What a Great thread read all the way though just wondered if this will work on a MK4 espace, Going to have a go on the wifes scenic II first. I like the control switch set up will save a fortune on parts.

Question Re: Megane cruise control, retro fitted, how to guide

Do you know if I can use the resistor set up on my grand scenic II, it has a place for the on/off control under the indicator stalk rather than next to the headlight aim adjuster, but if the wires are there guess should be almost the same??
