Exclamation Megane - Spark Plug Relacement

Hi every one, it is nice to find some where I can get advice and support about my megane Expression. As far as mechanics goes I'm not the most skilled, as the title suggests, I can not find where my spark plugs are, i do not want to pull bits off in case I disturb some thing important and costly. I had a Clio before and did some diy and the cost to fix my dotched job was painful. I'm looking for the usual Ht leads, but cannot find them, just some wires going into tubes where I assumed the spark plugs were. Are they beneath this and bolted down. Hope I am making sense.

Welcome to the forum. I think you are looking in the right area. The tubes are pencil coils (you will no doubt read more about those at some stage) and they replace the old style coil unit. The spark plugs are below the coils .

Remove the wiring conector from the top of the coil and you will see there is a Torxc headed bolt. Remove the bolt and gently withdraw the coil (and it's O ring) to reveal the plug.

Hi there and welcome to Renault Forums, the tubes you refer to are the pencil coils , if you have a close look you will see they are each held in place by one torx screw, it's just a matter of unscrewing them and gently pulling the coil off and the spark plug will be revealed, you can then change the plugs as normal
