will stop two plugs from firing. With one out of commission, the engine would probably sound like a bag of spanners and have no power, but it'd run. With two spark plugs not working, you're unlikely to get it to start.
You'll need a multimeter to check the
packs. You'll probably have to use one of the higher resistance ranges to get a meaningful reading. If you don't already have a multimeter, Maplin Electronics do them cheaply enough. Though I'd chance a new
first if I were you. Cleaning the sensor may fix some faults, but many cases do require a replacement.
